I have used this favorite walk-about lenses for 2 yrs plus.... still tight like original ..:) May be is my habit to place it back to the bag immediately after shooting, a die habit because I don't fancy neck strap hanging the camera and lenses free.

The different between FX and DX is the how large will be your print out... FX will be able to give you the finer resolution.

D300s should compare to D700. it can't compare to D800, rumors are, it's better in term of sensor (17mp) with Full HD video.

VR is good while you are on unstable platform, such as moving vehicle or without tripod. I can't say about VC.

D700 is ok, Just like I bought D200 then, although many model pop up later, D200 is still better until D300 appeared. Buy a camera should go for the better one.

Hi Bros, Why I like 18-200mm VR, it covers the range that I need and save the trouble of changing lenses, which we may miss some good shots, unless you carry 2 cameras. Of course you cannot compare it to prime, but good and sharp enough if you wish to travel light and don't want to miss...
