If you read the article carefully there is zero actual comparison of quality, and his article is full of hype. No pictures side by side, no files backing up his claims. Nothing like the measured reviews given by Robin and Ming Thein.
Seems like the reviews don't rate the new sensor that much, most are saying the sensor is pretty much similar to the old one with finer grain at higher ISOs
Hey guys,
Assuming that the GX8 is $100 more than the EM5 MK2 and that I own only Olympus lenses and that ergonomically I am fine with both, which camera would you recommend over the other and why? I mainly shoot landscape and also street. Thanks!
That was 100%
Yeah it's the sky which means there is a gradient so i can't really go about cloning it just like that. Those are not the pixels, just zoomed in.
Hi guys need some help here! I took a picture and when i zoomed in I saw this:
Short of editing pixel by pixel, is there an easier way of removing the ugly patches? Thanks a lot!
Hi guys,
I have a GX1 currently, and am thinking of upgrading. However, I don't know if the quality difference between the GX1 and the EM1 is worth the money. Also, I have been considering the EM5, since the price has dropped a lot.
One big reason why I am considering all these is well...
I use:
12mm f2.0
45mm f1.8
40-150mm
150-300mm
i have the kit 14-42mm but i don't bring it around. I have a extender to take macro shots.
It's weird for me cos i have nothing in between 12 and 45mm, but in a way i don't miss it as much as i do ...
I love my 45mm to death ... best lens i got for those people shots while I am travelling!
If this one costs the same as the 45mm ... i sure hoot if the quality is as good as 45mm (but from description sounds like it is much better). Or maybe i should stop drooling and upgrade my EPL2 to OMD lol
No worries I got my camera. I don't need anything more than 10 mins really - even if i take star trails it would be less than that and stitching. It's just the fact that i have to spend more money to get a remote cable release that irks me. But I got one anyway from Calumet - their in house...
Ah pity. I am in Los Angeles right now but will be leaving in 2 days. If i knew earlier would have bought everything with my camera. Probably will go down to a store to get a UC1 i guess. No luck for me this time.
But with some firmware tweaks you can save money and weight. Then again it was CHDK who did the hack, not Canon, but Canon is definitely benefiting from the hack ... that stuff is awesome. Now i have to try to see where i can get the remote ... sigh.
