I just checked the RRP for 2NP-FW50 battery in Taiwan is about S$130 for 2 original batteries, too bad it's out of stock in most of the shops in Taipei. The single NP-FW50 is selling for about S$75. This is one of the Sony products that can do mass order.

I got an e-quote for SEL18200 from a JB shop for RM2100, I am waiting for their reply on the warranty. Their pricing is way lower than Singapore price. FDA-EV1S is RM900. Too bad, no pricing for SEL55210.

I would set aside 3k budget for camera and lens a year. If I don't spend money for the year, the money will roll over to next year. In case I sell off the old stuff, the money goes back to the camera fund. It will help me to control the money that I spend on camera stuff.

Get Nikon 18-105, its cheap, sharp, light and offers good range and VR. It is sharper than Nikon 16-85 and 18-200 according to some reports, but it can't shoot low light, not a F2.8 lens, so it doesn't give your nice bokeh. It is good for beginner. You can get it from B&S for around $250-350...
