Think you are right. I read through the sticky post on copyright. The commissioner (client) owns the copyright to the photographs. Not us, photographer. So, if we do add a clause in our contract that state otherwise, are we violating the intellectual laws?

But what is the industry practice like? I mean the client pays for their photos, so is it the practice that they own the copyrights or the photographer? Or its really upto the photographer and the clients?

Hi all, Does the wedding photos' copyright belongs to the couple who paid for the services, or does it belong to the photographer? Is it alright to use the shots on website or promotional stuff or even contest? Or the approval/blessing from the couple is required? Thanks! ;)

I'm referring to those longish type. Not the standard 4R/3R. It's slimmer in size, maybe like half the width of credit card or smaller.

Studios like Sophia gives out those rectangular shaped photos for couples to give out. Does anyone knows what size are these? Not 2R right? Thanks!

Actually I prefer the tripod to be light. The last I had was heavy and I'd a tough time carrying it overseas. What happened was I lost the thing that screws onto the base of the camera, so have to get a replacement. Thanks for all the advices.

What are their price range like and where could I get a good deal from? Last at Cathay Photo (Marina Square) on Saturday and saw some SLK tripods. They seems quite heavy to me. Are these ok? Thanks for all the advices.

I'm using a Canon Powershot S3. Looking for a suitable tripod. One of the criteria is that it mustn't be too heavy or difficult to carry around as I would like to bring it overseas. I don't really need those professional ones; as you could see, i'm using a prosumer camera only. Thanks! ;)
