Sorry to bring this old thread alive. I'm a A33 user and am currently stationed in Kuching, Sarawak, E.Malaysia for work. I saw the A580 on sale here at Sony for RM2100, which is around S$870, body only. Good deal? I tried A550 before and was loving it. Is the handling and menus a lot...

Dear All Alpha Sifus: My A33-Hotshoe-F58AM combo is back alive!!! Thanks to all the pointers. I cleaned up the contact points on my camera and the flashgun with eraser, and viola, the combo works like a charm again. In appreciation to the great tips provided. Here's a humble pic taken in Bali...

Hi all Alpha Sifus, Problem: I was in Bali happily shooting away with my A33 and F58AM when suddenly my cam refuses to fire the flash gun. It seems like it doesn't recognize the flashgun anymore. The camera still works normal with its built in flash. And the flash gun still works wirelessly...
