I'm trying to decide between these two lenses for travel and general walk-around photography, on a FX. I'm drawn to the 24-120 with constant F4, however the VRII on the 28-300 boast a 4 F-stop advantage which in my understanding, probably makes it just as good as the F4 (sanity check please)...

Just came across a comment on the web that Markins has re-designed their Q3T so that the knobs are now 90 degrees apart - so that when used on the Gitzo 1541T, the legs can now close completely. Can anyone confirm this? Is this already available here in Singapore?

hello all, So I am home now and yes, I can import the pictures using Adobe Bridge. But not with iPhoto. This is with a direct connection to the D700. But with a CF card reader (Sandisk extreme USB 2.0 reader), I have a icon on my desktop like an external drive and I can see the pictures...

Thanks all for your replies. I do have iPhoto and CS4 installed but it didn't occur to me to start them and look for the camera icon in there. I used "Finder" and was expecting to see it like a drive icon there, or a camera icon on the desktop. I'll go home and try it out tonight. thank...
