I would prefer to use the 550EX as the main flash and comparing the price difference between the ST-E2 and a second-hand 420EX, it would be more cost effective to get the 420EX if it could function both as a remote trigger and a secondary flash. :)

I used the Quantum Battery 1+ for all my wedding shoots previously. It is relatively fast and reliable. Have not tried the CP-E2.. Wonder how fast it is.. :) Btw, I am letting go my Quantum Battery now as I am not taking wedding photos now. PM me if you are interested. Cheers. ;)
