what are you aiming at when you take photos in day light? if you are aiming at the sky, there's nothing to lock on to auto focus also, if it is too bright, the glare might be preventing the camera from doing contrast focusing

I know the Portraiture plug-in allows you to tweak contrast/brightness of skin tone colours, but it doesn't allow tweaking of other ranges of colours (e.g. a range of sky colours that are mostly blue). is there any plug-in that will allow you to do this? Here's a pic of portraiture plug-in...

thanks for your reply! I think the dilemma for me is that getting a dual lens kit would probably cost close to a single lens kit + the MMF-1 adaptor. are there any advantages of using the 14-54mm 4/3 lens to record video, over the 14-42mm m43 lens?

do you mean that you take most of your shots with the 17mm lens? i'm planning to use the camera on holiday to take landscapes, the 17mm would be fine for wide-angle, but do you think i would need the 14-42mm zoom?
