Those who owned the EOS xxD series cameras do you bring the battery grip and the spare AA battery slots that comes with the original grip to countries in cold climates? Cos my experince in S.korea was that ppl looked at me(also photographers with DSLRs as well) with great curiousity as though...

My previous trip to Korea during winter season with this camera seems to dry up the batteries very very fast. Even in climate like Singapore, its battery performance seems to be lower that my DSLR in terms of operating hours. Is this the nature of CCD sensors that " eats " more battery power.

Is the 40D capable to work under cold climate like jeju-do? cos i am going with my family on the week of christmas this month and i don wish to have disapointments over the equipment.

Indeed true. I managed to put my lens caps and battries in the large pocket. In fact, one of the pocket could even hold my EF 24-70 F2.8L with reversed hood so makes changing lenses easier without worry the lens will drop on the floor..

What is the charging hour required for GP rechargable batteries like 2300mAh and 2700mAh for the first time? 16Hours or only 6Hours? Pretty confused here.
