Hey morning, This shot was taken at Pasir Ris Park. I do not know the place well, just happened to drive around and bum in it. Its quite a walk from the main road. Was surprised to see they have a small kinda stable hidden in the park. Hehehe....;)

Though we may sound like we know each other, but I think can safely say that actually not many of us have meet each other before, this will be my first gathering and meet up with photographers since I joined this Forum last week. Cool man, Bored Dad! Makes me feel not as shy liao! Hahaha....:D

wow, its so interesting as i am a newbie too. But I only have my Nikon D80 with kit lens, is that okie? :embrass: as for the sat and sun gathering issue, well, some might not be able to attend on sat and some might not on sun. maybe can split group to go on sat and sun, then all newbie will...

Hehehe....thanks raptor84, well i won't stop trying shooting. Will heed your advice and see the outcome when i shoot it headon. In fact, I am very much eager to get comments on pic i took as most of time i take pic from very wierd angle which might be out of composition or some call it unique...

I am only using a 18-135mm kit lens. Am I able to do that if I still shoot from the same angle and direction?

Thanks raptor84, wow, i never know that taking horse eyes shots is better to shoot it head-on. i will try more shot on it. i am still not sure what is meant by isolating the eye from other distracting elements. errmm....is it to just focus the eye sharp and to blur the rest of the unwanted...

Thanks sharkspin! my subject is the eye itself... as i was thinking the rest of it is not as important but i do not feel that the subject should always fall in the middle or centre of the frame. Pls enlightened me. Thanks, I will try more shots.
