I think it's just due to fluctuating exchange rates. Prices are about even both sides of the causeway at an exchange rate of 2.4+ however of late, it's been hovering around 2.3+ which puts a 5% price difference in favour of better prices in Malaysia. I'm currently scouting for a good deal too...

I love most of the compositions and choice of subjects, however I feel many suffer from over-intervention and end up being more graphic design pieces based on photographs rather than good photography. Keep it up though and you're definitely not putting your spendings on camera stuff to waste ;)
