yes the lens cap comes off easily, and thats a good thing sometimes, keeps one from jamming the lens. I had a FZ18, has great zoom but thats about it, the movie mode on the S5 is awesome,and the focus works much better on the S5 in lower light conditions. The Panny Software is also cheesy...

The software and menu setup is horrible, and it has a flakey focus system, I was hoping for more but after shooting the S3 for awhile the FZ18 just seemed slow at everything, Focus being the biggy.

Noob here enjoying the shots, I had a S3 went to a Panny FZ18, hated it! Just bought another Canon, went with the S5 this time, OH NO!! it's a "Made In China" one, how will I survive? :bsmilie:
