and if i should just get the mono version instead of the stereo...
you probably don't understand that its not the money that we join such events .. its to achieve something beyond our normal endurance .. its something money can't buy... so to ask such idiots to pay for anything is quite meaningless
and no amount of equipment will take us to the finish line ...
i hardly have the time to look at my camera to guage its battery life and to compare it with the original battery... it should be the same or even better...
the R-1 is known to be very energy efficient ... two batteries should be enough for most people ... besides .. for the price .. what do u...
my non-sony battery works fine with the R1 ...
Eastgear have been selling batteries for a long time ... i see no reason why it won't work for the brand/type of camera it is made for ... otherwise they won't be selling it

fantastic street photographer... he communicates really well with the locals even though he doesn't speak a word of vietnamese ... not easy... will have to just watch him at work to appreciate how...

there are people from previous Crossing Bridges trips that used a very basic Point & Shoot camera with very good results... so... equipment will not be a hinderance to attendance...
so look out for some form of announcement sometime in the 1st Quarter of 2006 for the next crossing bridges...
