you probably don't understand that its not the money that we join such events .. its to achieve something beyond our normal endurance .. its something money can't buy... so to ask such idiots to pay for anything is quite meaningless and no amount of equipment will take us to the finish line ...

my non-sony battery works fine with the R1 ... Eastgear have been selling batteries for a long time ... i see no reason why it won't work for the brand/type of camera it is made for ... otherwise they won't be selling it

there are people from previous Crossing Bridges trips that used a very basic Point & Shoot camera with very good results... so... equipment will not be a hinderance to attendance... so look out for some form of announcement sometime in the 1st Quarter of 2006 for the next crossing bridges...
