thank you :) what are the recording media on canon. harddisk or sd? price range

I need to shoot at night, was thinking the jvc series with harddisk as hey are the easiest in terms of transfering data. Wanna spend around 700 bucks simple stuff not for still images just video. What do you think?:embrass:
