I owned both, for me 24-105L still more versatile as general walkabout lens. Choose 24-70 only if you need f2.8, other than that 24-105 offer more flexibility (and lighter).

Yes, I think you are right bro. Different region/country has different safety/environmental regulation. If you work for manufacturer like HP, etc., there is this yearly mandatory trainings on those regulations :confused:

it was 70-200L f2.8 for me.. bought and only used 2-3 times over 2-3 years span. image not very sharp wide open and heavy some more; 70-200L f4 is much better.
