Indeed a great lens to play with. Will look forward to mount it on a D700 to get the pictures at high ISO. Very impressed. Looks like the D700 will be a good camera to use at the F1 race in Singapore with this 70-300 lens. Unfortunatelty I will not be there.

My dream DSLR will be a D700 + HD video (1080i/p or minimal 720p) and call it a D700V. It should be full frame. Non-full frame will be in 1-2 yrs time a thing of the past like film cameras. i.e. D90V (full frame + video). I will put that 1K-2k (for simple HD video camera) into lens and memory...

Thanks. Yes, still much to learn. The overexposure was partly intentional as I wanted only the face to be correctly exposed but it ended up far much too overexposed. Will need to balance it a little more the next time.

Singapore far as these imports are concerned does not have taxes for goods. It is mainly the high cost of rental and surely the lower no. of buyers/limited market that results in higer prices here. Competition is also not much. Thus Nikon/Canon Singapore charges a higher price here. Unfair : yes...

To me photography is making someone many times more beautiful or bringing out the best looks in someone. I think you managed to do that on the first. Great job. I can only wish someday I can do it. The second one convinced me how much you did in terms of skill capability.
