Hi all, I am using canon 300D. Thinking of getting a lens for taking potraits. I have either 50mm f1.4 or 85mm f1.8 in mind. Has anyone tried any of these lens before.? Could anyone please advise which is better and share some sample pictures taken with these lens? Thx.

All shots are taken at 24mm. Think of getting a 17-40L lens as I find that my 24-85 USM is not wide enough. Does anyone disagree that a 17-40L may not even be wide enough for such events?

haha scam??? Actually i already hv a 300D. Although don use it often but still keen to try a 20D. ok understand that that is too expensive for rent.
