try a different perspective: find a new lens you like.. such as the 24-70mm at est $2.6k treat the $900 repair bill as money given. $2.6k minus the $900 given, the brand new 24-70mm will be $1.5k. just some maths to "reason" that new lens :bsmilie:

can somebody pls tell me the advantages of wearing a vest, other than the convenience of many pockets? ain't it hot and humid and sticky in our local weather? i frankly don't know, have never worn one.
