    Puzzle over lenses

    1) Yes lenses with lower "f-number" will allow more light to pass through and aids autofocus before you take the shot. Depends on what kind of night shot. 2) Yes 3) You will have to be more specific as you didn't specify at which f-stop. But the 35mm indeed is quite sharp for its price and...

    Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8

IMHO 16-85 is not a good deal. I feel it does not perform well in colour and bokeh quality, plus its not 2.8.

    rain..rain...noobie

#1 and #4 I think I can catch the idea, but quite obvious that focus point is wrong. Is your AF point selection in auto area mode? #2 I think is a good try that didnt work out What was your motivation to show all B+W?

How to shoot well in company D&D ?

If you are the only official/assigned photog, bringing only a 50mm is very risky. I doubt it will be wide enough if the table size is large and there are obstructions in the way.

    Midnight at foodstall

Seems abit too snapshot. Might need to go wider as its not that easy to establish that this is a food stall. Maybe can show the signboard of the stall, as even though the eggs are there we cant see what the man on the left is really doing (pouring the food?) Agree with gundam picture does not...

    camera lens? which to buy.

I think the most important question is what kind of things do you like/intend to shoot. Generally it is best if you are very clear about this early on.

    Border with Signature

I have a workaround for this; when recording actions with the text layer on top, go Layer> Align Layer to Selection > Bottom edges. Then Layer> Align Layer to Selection > Right Edges. After this, nudge the signature as you see fit (the nudging seems to work for different pic sizes for me). This...

Sigma 17-50mm F2.8 EX DC OS HSM

I bought mine from the service centre at redhill there, it seems that there is a newer version of the lens hood for this lens. The older version attaches very loosely, but the new one (which i bought seperately at redhill) will snap on tightly. Think it cost 20+

    AFA'11 pictures

28, 31,32, 44 I think portrait orientation will work better. Esp 44, since the weapon prop is quite large and important. Generally I think quite a number here would be better with thirds "rule" but I know its very crowded and surroundings also not that flattering

Sigma AF 17-50mm F2.8 EX DC HSM OS - Focusing Issue

Hi, have been using this for some time. Do you mean that when bursting, only the first shot is in focus, second third onwards the focus wont follow? Have been using it with D90 and havent noticed any incompatibility; and AF is responsive
