No, I have not given up yet. It is that the camera have lying around in my dry cabinet for 5 yrs and only use less then 10 times. I may pass it to my kids. Anyway this camera are meant for people who love to take street pictures at waist level.

Buy a cheap 55mm filter, break or remove the filter glass and that's it. You got a spacer ring of 55 to 55mm. Simple as that! I use to do that for my Olympus 3040 spacer ring to use the CLA1 tube.

I rode the St1100 together the dual purpose bike (2 GS1150 2 bmw650 and a Valradero)last Dec 2002 to Jan 2003. The St1100 is also capable to ride off road to Noi Soi longneck village.
