70-200 cost 1.4ksgd at map camera in shunjuku, tokyo. 55f1.8 is 900 iirc. I kept the 55 on camera whenever possible although a zoom is so much more convenient.

I kena a few times the exposure dial also. Especially when wriggling out the camera from the side access bag. End up also disable it as well. For the screen I hardly use...cant really see in bright light. Use the evf 80% of the time.

Just gave up last chance to hoot the 70200 at 1.4ksgd.....hope I will not regret...

Hmm. How you all shoot without getting noticed. I use shoot at 5-10meters away. 85% kena noticed unless the place is very noisy like theres an incoming train.

A7 is better. Trust me since I using the a7r right now on a trip in japan. The shutter sound is okay In museum but on the streets is a nono. Wanted to take many candid shots but cant due to the shutter noise....might get beaten up. Good thing about a7r is you can crop alot without a significant...

Just played with the 70200 a while ago. Focus was surprisingly quick, seems faster than the 2770 kit lens... at least in good lighting. Colour and bokeh looks good as well. My heart is tingling at the price of abiut 1.5k though
