I have good experience with the Lowepro Rezo 170AW, which can carry everything I own - DS + kit, 50-200, 40, a flash, a rocket blower, AA chargers, two sets of spare batteries and a few spare cards. My friend keeps his DL + kit in a Rezo 160AW, with a space to spare one of them 50-200/55-200...

When travelling, I find the AUTO PICT mode useful, and curious to play with. It allows me to go from taking closeup pictures of curious objects, to landscapes, and then to family portraits all in one! No need to fiddle around with the aperture setting that you otherwise would have to in A-mode...

It fits into my shorts' side pockets. Jacket pockets will definately fit.

Sell the F30 while there's still value in it, and get the DA 40 - and you'll still have a decently light go-anywhere camera! :D The beauty of Pentax!

Haha maybe because they were just pulling your leg, as Pentax makes no sorry 55-200 lenses! But they do have an excellent 50-200!

The DA 50-200 can be had in Malaysia for RM699, I think. Some months ago I saw a shop in Midvalley, KL, displaying the item with that price. The Sigma 18-125 has significant light falloff, but at least it's sharp in the corners even at wide open. Which puts it ahead of any of the 18-200 in...

I don't know what your intended use for the flash is, but the AF360FGZ doesn't swivel - only tilts. This makes it difficult to use well when shooting in portrait orientation - the main reason why I didn't consider this unit. I ended up with a 2nd hand Sigma EF500 ST non-DG, which is TTL-only...

The DL2 sports 5 AF sensor points, while the DL has three. The DL2 has this quirky "preview" function where you can trigger the camera to make a capture and show you the histogram when you trigger the DOF preview switch - but apparently, no way to save this image if you like it. Custom function...

In my own use, the AF-L button is as simple as sliding the AF mode up to MF position once I've gotten the focus that I want. It's also quick to slide it back down to AF mode again once you're done - it sure is easier than trying to use one of them rotating switches on some other brands...

What's the price like on the DS2? If it's close enough, do consider getting the DS2 instead - other than buying the best viewfinder prism in the 1.5x bunch of cameras right now, you also get more buffer depth. It may not matter to most people, but if you shoot events, it can give you some extra...

Pentax items won't cost you too much when you sell too, mainly because they're cheap to start with in the first place.

As far as I know, Shriro in Singapore and Malaysia will honour warranty on Pentax items from most countries. Most importantly it has to be private purchase, so a receipt as proof of purchase is a must. (Apparently)
