Should I stick with my D5300?

Actually it will depend. Have you find your 5300 limiting yourself, so much so that a change in lenses cannot do the trick. If so, then you might want to change, but don't go into those crap as legacy support, whatever that is. If you don't find your 5300 hindering you and you continue to enjoy...

    Recommendation for DSLR

From what I gather, you have a D3300... some lenses, etc. You have used the D3300, used to the interface of the Nikon camera... my advise is... don't jump ship. No point doing that, just because Canon seemed pretty good on paper. Truth is... it is difficult to get a bad camera nowadays and if...

Is Canon G3X a good camera?

Define nice blurry background. Our nice blurry background might be a bit different from yours. And all cameras create blurry background if you know how to do it (yes... even my iphone did it). And G3X is an excellent camera, but it is heavier than the G5X and G7X and all the other compact...

    memory card speeds

Minimum speed wise, no different between a Class 10 and UHS 1, both of them have the same minimum speed of 10MB/s. The main difference lies in the fact that UHS as quoted from my link, and that is because, UHS utilize a new data bus interface of up to 312 Megabytes per second. Basically for...

    memory card speeds

Please read the link I provided. It has everything you asked. To make it short, if your camera or whatever system do not support UHS (Read your manual to know if they support or not) then don't get a UHS card because you will not get the most out of it.

Does warranty on 2nd Hand DSLR matter?

Theoretically... warranty is non-transferable... in most electronic products. http://www.nikon.com.sg/en_SG/service/warranty_policy However, as a show of good faith, the service center might honor the warranty (if it was not expired) if you can produce proof (receipt) of the purchase... also...

do you carry macro lens to holiday?

I carried my iphone and maybe my Canon G7X on outing. Unless I specifically planned that holiday trip to be a photography trip. Anyway, different people had different preference, so ultimately it is up to yourself.

    low light help

Image quality wise, I doubt they have much differences. But feature wise, I think Sony give you more. In my case, I would go for the Sony, solely because of all the things they packed in the camera, especially the video mode. I do take a couple of video now and then. Of course you would need to...

    tripod

As mentioned before in previous thread, the main thing about a tripod (and tripod head) is whether they can handle the weight of your equipment. So many of us would proposed that you bring the heaviest setup of your equipment to the shops and test out their tripod to see if it can handle the weight.

    CANON G7X

Even my mobile phone can do it. Please read up DOF and you will know the reason. And yes, G7X is a good camera, I have one and is having fun with it.

    buying from buy/sell section.

Basically there are no such a thing in Clubsnap that when you ask to view an item, you would need to buy it. As other had mentioned, it is basic courtesy that you make your intention known before the meet up. Second, it would also be basic courtesy that, any party (be it seller or buyer) be...

Advice on 7d mark 1 upgrade from 650D

Don't upgrade (or downgrade) to 7DmkI, period. If you are waiting for the next upgrade of 6D, then carry on the wait and save up enough money (at the mean time) to get yourself a good lens. Actually from what I have read, you don't really have to stick to Canon's EF lenses, there are many third...
