    Interesting Metabones "Speed booster adapter"

Seems like a new player is entering the market! Good news for us if the prices do go down :) http://www.thephoblographer.com/2013/03/15/mitakon-to-do-pretty-much-what-metabones-did-with-the-speed-booster/

OMD DOES have a time lapse function !!!

Thanks for sharing! I can't seem to get this to work on my OM-D though.. is it a new firmware thing? I am running 1.5 btw..

    MFT setup under $2,500

As a X100, I think she would prefer something retro and portable.. With that in mind, OM-D EM5 would be a good body? And depending on her liking for changing lens /small lens+camera package, you could either get 1) a set of 20mm, 14mm and 45mm primes (you could add the 14-42 pancake zoom if you...

    memory card writing speed

Depends on your eventual application as well? Video and RAW shooting may require faster cards. By the way, the prices for the 45MB/s ones are coming down quickly, maybe you can buy one to try? I have it and the writing speed is pretty good for continuous JPEG shooting. :)

OMD E-M5 does not work with old film cam lens

Hmm.. I don't have one of those lens but manual lens work fine with mine so far? Perhaps a little more info might help us solve this? Is there a blackened screen (setting of omd to reject shooting without lens or something?) or just a general blurness of the image (lens do not focus well on the...

    Oly 75 + Oly 12 or Pana 35-100 + Pana 14

Personally, I would prefer 14mm, 20mm pancakes with the 35-100 for ultimate portability but that zoom would burn a hole in my pocket! Hoping to slowly save up for it though... Xp

    Screen crack..sigh

You are doing good! Sad when the camera pulls a fast one on you during a trip! Brought any spares?

    New SIGMA Lenses for MFT

You can read more about the lenses here: Sigma Announces Four New Art Lenses: Three Mirrorless, One DSLR Lens Only the 60mm is new, I think. The 19mm and 30mm seem to be repackaged versions of the currents ones on the market, based on the specifications. Shiny outer casing anyone?
