if 50mm face too big then use something wider maybe 35? 50mm prime for self portrait, i think you have very long arms. if want to shoot all the memories down, maybe renting an all-in-one travel lens like 18-200 might be better? otherwise, i still think 18-55 is better than just 50.

yes never thought of that! considering the range is pretty large, like 100m. quite possible someone using the same model wireless trigger and on the same wireless channel.

nice tip! better to blind the subjects eyes with a few flashes than to get no photo haha :D good tips with the recommended settings! yep have to have smaller aperture, esp for group photos with multiple rows. large aperture maybe only first, second row are in focus.

yep i'm a fan of candid shots, with the AF lights, it's less discreet. I have the light off all the time, except when shooting in low-light. i'm still using my stock 18-55mm lens.
