Appeal for nude art photographers, artists, models for school project

Hi, I'm currently a student from NUS. I'm currently working on a course project with two other friends. The theme of our project is "Art or Pornography". The purpose of our project is to research on how people conceive art and pornography, the expressions of art on the Internet, and how...

What do you mean when you asked for what you should look out for? Are you talking about the settings such as shutter speed, aperture, light, etc or anything special to shoot? If you are talking about the latter, there are certain poses which are quite nice, and you can try taking high flying...

    Non DSLR owner

Nope. I'm taking so many pictures, especially when I'm still in the process of learning where I'm still making quite some mistakes and deleting a lot of my pictures, the cost of the film and development would kill me already. Furthermore, I like taking digital pictures and digitally manipulate...

why the need to upgrade to DSLR?

Though I'm not a DSLR user myself (no money!) nor have I used a SLR camera before, the 1 thing I really like about SLRs is the interchangable lens, allowing qutie some flexibility esp when you wanna shoot close-ups. The high zoom factor telephoto lens are quite a plus! I can't imagine myself...

Well, this Chinese New Year season, I'll be in Malaysia visiting my relatives and there'll be lots of opportunities for me to shoot! Like firecrackers, babies, animals. Haha. IMHO, Malaysia provides more interesting venues for shooting. I have over 30 cousins, some of them which are barely a...

    Hi Newbie here

Why R so many pple claiming themselves to be newbies when there R pple who have barely started shooting only in this year (2004) like me? Haha. I'm a real newbie here who has only barely a few weeks of experience! I'm using a Canon A70 and proud of it. How long have you been shooting, Cash? And...

    Popular Digital Cameras

Agreed. Quote ur budget and usage so that pple can help you better. On the budget side, I would really recommend Canon A series. I myself bought a A70. The A series offer the cheapest cameras with manual controls.

What mode of your camera do you use the most often?

I use Aperture Priority mode most of the time simply because it can be used to control the depth of field. Next most commonly used would be Manual to have more control over the amount of exposure. Actually I do use scene modes. Or rather, just one of them: sports mode. It's for times when...

Haha. The only problem with me joining anyone in shooting trips is that I'm still serving my NS now, so I don't have much time! Sigh. But rest assured that I will keep trying to improve my skills! ;)

Agreed! I'm trying to shoot as much as I can and trying to gain more experience each time. Thanks for everything!

    i need help...

From the pictures, it seems that it has either to do with "camera shake" or focusing problems. The Canon pic does seem sharper.

Well, general articles like how to take better photographs or specific tricks and tips to non-DSLR cameras? I mean, most of the articles here seem to relate more to DSLR than the non-DSLR cams. But of course, I guess I can always try to google for them lah ah.

Well, I never said that the pictures taken by pple like us are always inferior to the pictures taken by pple who use DSLRs. I too agree that it's the person's skills that matter more, though the equipment CAN aid the photographer in many ways. I was just lamenting about the lack of articles for...
