Hi, try to shoot more, understand your cam and you will get better photo in no time :) Try Av, Tv mode instead of P then go Manual if you are ready. You also can try to set the sharpness to higher level in your picture Style, if you want more sharpness.. I dont really encourage you to adjust...

Hi you can consider Sigma 8-16mm, sharp lens with nice color but is big & heavy compare to EFM 11-22. I'm use it most of the time on my EOSM. If your image is not sharp can be due to low shutter speed or not in focus ( EOSM dont focus well in strong back light) For low shutter speed shooting...
