I usually go to this website to check shutter counter, here's the link: http://photog.hk/cgi-bin/exif.cgi you just need to upload ur last test shot from ur camera and click the 'GO' button and bingo! you'll see a very detail exif info, just look for shutter count. Enjoy!

I would assume it's Nikon mount if TS is using D80/D2X ! ;)
