I think it's a lever inside the pop up flash... If you pop up the flash and shake the camera a little..the sound will disappear...mine did the same.....

Yeah I totally agreed with Getz10. I have about 10 Sony products which i registered online. 2 out of the 10 registrations Sony actually emailed me and asked for receipt of purchase to verify the store and date of purchase of these two items. They said that I will not be able to register these...

I had the same issue before. I put the camera cap on turned the camera back on then i went through the menu to self/cleaning sensor cleaning function then turn it off and on then the mirror was back functioning properly.
