It is an old 1Dmk2N. Lens bought used from here. Both no warranty. Thanks for the suggestions. Do not want to impose on fellow members so will porobably send it for repair. I was hoping that some others may have experienced similar problem and have quick fixes.

Many thanks Yoh for your suggestion. I only have the 24-105L lens. Will probably send the camera and lens to Canon or the camera hospital for check/repair.

Err 01 appears when I tried to take a picture. It felt like the mirror locks up. Nothing seen through the view finder. Turn off/on will release the morror. Would seniors here give some advices?

Rented the 28-300L. Wow it weighs a ton. Very good lens but on a 1D mk2N they are too heavy for walkabout. I will stay with my 24-105L.

Well I am the lazy sort and always just want to have one lens. I thought 28-300L will cover almost all I will ever need. Is there a review of that lens somewhere? How heavy would the lens with the 1D mk2N?

Seeking opinion of seniors here. I have a 1D mk2N with 24-105L. Find the range wanting sometimes and am lazy to change lens. Am considering changing the 24-105L to a 28-300L. Your comments will be appreciated.
