went to a friends church wedding and evening reception, brought 3 lenses with me, kit 18-55, 35mm f1.8, 55-200, all DX lenses, ended up using 55-200 90% of the time, the 35mm 10% of the time..as i was only the 3rd photographer, I specialized on candid shots which the 55-200 did very well, took...

    problem encountered with external flash

at one of the parties i attended, my sb600 suddenly not functioning right, it's firing the flash but it's like my cam is not detecting it, my cam giving slow shutter so pic is overexposed, i also noticed the metering is done by my camera, it supposed to be showing "red cross signs" for the flash...

Anyone experience unsharp pictures once in a while?

Hi would like to ask if this is common? some times i get not so sharp pictures even i use low ISO of 200-640 with shutter relatively fast for a 35mm f1.8 prime in broad day (~1/80-1/500), aperture f1.8-f3.2, i know the acceptable shutter for handshake is 1/focal length for full frames?not so...

    Nikon D5000 come on in

    Nikon D5000 come on in

hi e69087, if you have a lens that has manual focus override (like the 35mm f1.8 af-s or the 18-105 af-s), you don't need to worry about switching to M, there's an M/A switch that will let you autofocus but can let you manual focus override any time :D but if i use the kit lens, then i use that...

    Nikon D5000 come on in

hi liulangMAo, the video is not useless, in fact, coupled with the flip lcd i find it very very handy and powerful tool (note that with dslr you are able to change lens thus video possibilities are endless). i attended a friend's wedding and brought only the d5000 and only 1 lens, the 35mm f1.8...
