Other than white balance issue, have you tried shooting in Natural mode? Natural gave me pretty good realistic tones compared to my old old Panasonic under warm lighting. Only thing is it will auto set very high ISO if the scene is dim. It has a sister mode, which fires a 2nd consecutive shot...

Played with the cam for 2 weeks. Nice work but in my case, geared towards under exposure. The CA is irritating though, luckily San Diego is still in winter, hence CA is not that often. Some pics to share: wild animal park, Birch Aquarium, corner of greenhouse in Balboa Park, and sunset at LAX...
