35mm f1.8 is a very good lens. A 24mm lens will be a better upgrade if you intend to remain on crop. I believe you won't be using f1.8 when doing street photography. 24mm will give u 36mm FOV, which is pretty good for street photography. If you decide to upgrade to FF, then it's a different...

For a camera at that price range, I believe it's ISO performance is the best. If you have tried other camera of that price range, you will notice the difference almost instantly :)

The camera do record every movie recording as 1 shutter actuation. I guess as long as there's a flipping of the mirror, it will be recorded. You can try and verify with EOScount. So far I know mine do record as 1 shutter count every time the record button is pushed :)

If u shoot RAW and do noise reduction in PP, I will say 3200 is still acceptable. Nowadays NR software are pretty good.

May I ask why did you sell the 5D2? I am of the opinion that the D700 will suffice to do the job given its good high ISO reputation. I don't shoot for living but if I do, I will most likely go with the D3s. The noise control of that beast is quite amazing.

For guys haircut, the difference may be minimal. But 95% of David's customers are female. There are too many "patterns" for female hairstyle. What do you think the $10 hairstylist will think if a lady walk in and says "I want Vidal Sassoon style"? :) Another thing, try telling your girlfriend...

To be fair, yes you can tell the difference. I do not think any stylist will charge $10 if their skill warrant $100.

Haha yeah, 1 more technique learnt. I will experiment with that next time I am out. So far have been using under exposure. Will try on casual shots :)

I was taught its safer to underexpose if unsure. At least you can recover in PP later.

Not forgetting, it makes you say "wow" after loading pictures into the computer. :)
