I think the manual is trying to say: - max sync until 1/200s - option to auto-fp from: 1/200s or 1/250s But i presume 1/200s is the "safe" value without banding for it.

Longer than average 50mm lens, but not larger. It's pretty lightweight combo, even my wife said it's not heavy at all.
