    The issue is that the meter is reading the light falling on the camera not the subject..     You should be able to shoot tethered successfully with a Macbook Pro, I do it quite often with my H3D 31. Keep your cables short and maybe look at using an unpowered in-line repeater. The H system is pretty smart with power management so that shouldn't be the issue. Nick-T

    Late to this thread sorry. Sim4nee I really like these pictures, you'll find that Phocus does a much better job than lightroom but it does take a bit of learning. Regards Nick-T
