Thanks for the info guys. I would like extension tubes, but I see that the kekno AF extension tube set may cost $150+.... So now I was thinking of doing reverse mounting.
Well, it seems close enough for me, I might consider getting it. Since its a two-piece glass lens, there shouldn't be much image degradation will there?
Thanks.
I guess this could be a good solution for luckyorange (user) too?
Christ. Thanks a lot guys!
$200-$500!?! Thats a big amount! Can't believe there are hypocrites out there trying to fool us. The guy showing me the lens told me ther'll be NO IMAGE DEGRADATION. Liars, or maybe he himself doesn't know a thing haha!
Thanks again, guys. I'll check out the macro...
Hi again Diavonex, didn't know you had a 2-element +10 close-up lens. Do you mind displaying just any one picture taken with your +10 close-up lens so that we newbies (me and luckyorange) get an idea of the magnification? Thanks! :-)
Woah. Thanks guys. If I hadn't decided to ask for your help, I may had jumped and bought the lens.
So then what is the ideal solution to getting good macro photos (for an amatuer like me), other than true macro lenses that I can't afford?
I looked around for extension tubes but can't find...
Hi guys, I'm a an amatuer photographer interested in doing macro photography. I came across a Vitacon 0.45X wide-angle/macro screw-in lens at Harbourfront centre, selling it at $120. Do you think its worth? What are the pros and cons for this lens?
I'd suggest a Nikon D3100, it's within your budget and it's a good dslr for starters~
Like BigBaby said, there's no point spending so much for a compact camera.
Thanks for the info. Anyway, I guess I've had enough details already, so all thats left to do is try them out. I'll be arriving Sg on the 20th. Thanks all!!!
Wow, great shots with the extension tube. The watch is awesome.
Yeah, Extension tube sets come with three extension tubes. I don't mind going with extension tubes but will have to check with the price too.
