hi, im new too. just bot a 2nd hand 550D yesterday. comes with S55-250mm lens. now looking for a 18-55mm lens. =)) I totaly knw nuts abt dslr. very slow learner. hur hur hur

wats the price of tamron 17-50 f/2.8? and where can I purchase it? If i am to use this lens, I wouldnt need 18-55mm? Oh yes, I wouldnt want to keep on upgrading for now at least. =) so i need a multi purpose (if there is one in e first place) lens that can take varieties of photos.

Thanks Sleepies. Now I can see the difference between these 2 lenses. In that case, shd I get the 18-55mm lens as well? Since I am keen to shot a potrait/ landscape photos. Or 55-250mm is just fine at this moment.
