    Full Frame

I have both ff and crop body. Although it was said that the newer crop body can do well in low light, you can still see a significant differences in the noise level and iq. FF is superior in term of low light. I usually put my 70-200 or 105mm macro on crop body for extra 1.5x magnification, and...

If you really need macro, you can get kenko or triplus extension tube (less than $200) to use with your kitlens, make sure it has auto focus mount (although manual focus is used most of the time).

Thinking of an upgrade of lenses

I used to have Tamron 28-75mm with BIM for my d700. I supposed it's equivalent to afs? It's a great lens and produce nice color. And 80-200 afs which one of the bro mentioned, i like the lens as it is sharp and do not produce much vignette on fx body unfortunately sold it off to fund 70-200vrii...

    Advisable filter to buy

How highend and expensive can a filter be compare to a 2k-3k lens.

    Advisable filter to buy

Good point you have here. Filter does not prevent dust from getting in unless there is leaky seal in the front element. Zoom lens do draw air in and out of the lens, my suspect dust get it at the extended zoom portion instead of the front element. However I still put filter on as I am quite a...
