In Penang Malaysia, was quoted RM2050 for one unit but they only have Nikon mount. No idea about warranty status there though.

You are absolutely right. However, just below that, in the row Red-eye reduction, Flash On, it does indicate that this function is available in AUTO mode. This is where I find the confusion and discrepancy. Otherwise, I find this camera great for beginners like myself.
