Thanks DiCam I have tried your method in exporting to TIFF-EXIF format and then I am able to use LR5 to process. However, I have to remember later to erase the TIFF files which are huge-hate to see how much storage I need for 200 + images (WHEW)

Tks Alfie and TRD2970 Checked with a friend who has a X-T1 and he said he had the same problem and he went to DP review and found that the disabling of the sound somehow causes the hotshoe not to function. How come Hospital Fujifilm does not know this?
