Totally agree on the plane part as resources talk! A local well=known film maker comes from a super rich family and himself is worth a couple of hundreds millions. Not taking away his film making skills, he has a headstart to get the best equipment which costs much more than still photography...

I just got it and my past experiences personally having owned these previously: 24-105L, 55-250mm, 70-300mm and 18-55mm, I can say it has sharp IQ and the range is good for me. It can stand on the same shoulder as 24-105L in IQ. So far this is the most satisfying lens I have.

any difference in IQ comparing it to the 24-105mm L? 15-85mm is a relatively new lens for 7D. I have read some posts using it with 550D or 50D. How about 500D?

I am especially concern about L lens on cropped body. Thanks to all who advised on this as there is no difference in IQ :)

In terms of lenses, full frame body suits lenses better esp the L lenses?

Anyone thinks 1.6 crop APS-C system is better than full frame? Please do not flame me as it is a genuine question as I am now on 1.6 crop and thinking what the future holds for my direction in photography. Thanks in advance.
