I bought Pentax coz... with less lenses to choose from I can concentrate on taking photos than succumbing to the LBA. :)
But didn't seem to work. Now I got 5 lenses and a flash already.
I got no grouses with lenses. But hope than Pentax flash system can get better (or is it me who don't...
Itchy now about the Tamron 17-50mm 2.8.
Is picture quality much better than the kit 18-55mm/3.5-5.6 ka, apart from wider aperture? Worth the upgrade ka?

ISO 1600 to 3200. Except the ISO 12800 one as mentioned. I used Tv between 1/80 to 1/125. I suppose the Kx chose the widest aperture it can cope with the zoom length.
Time to used the lens more often.

Pretty satisfied with the kit lens. Blur is likely due to my handshake with that long lens. Focusing was pretty responsive. But then again the lighting wasn't too challenging.

Went to an opera show by Korean vocalists last night. First time bringing my Pentax Kx kit lens 55-300mm to 'test power'. It has been in cold storage for some time due to its size. Want to share some pics with you guys.
Pictures were taken handheld, no flash (not allowed). No special settings...
I got the DA 40 too. f2.8 very useful for indoors, much more than kit lens aperture. Die la now itching for a Tamron 17-50/2.8, and then DA 70.:confused:
I keep both eyes open even when looking thru the viewfinder. Cannot stand closing one eye for long.
I find using manual focus difficult for shooting moving objects (kids move real fast and can't wait for you to focus). Otherwise it's great fun to play play with to shoot static objects. You...
