i finally bought mine last thursday. i was so busy i have not had the time to charge the battery and only did so earlier today. am now too tired to try it out. :(

in that case i am glad mine kaputed when it did. canon made me sign a faxed copy of some form or other that the loaned digicam is now mine with a 3 month warranty so it is officially mine and not a loan. well they should give a free replacement if they do not want their reputation to go down...

hmm, looks like canon gave us all different replacement cameras. you are fortunate canon confirmed inability to repair and gave you a replacement on the spot. i had to wait for almost 6 months before they confirmed the lack of replacement parts and that i could keep the loaned digicam...
