    600si or dynax5

600si can also do wireless flash. It has the classic design (dial style not button pushing) and is semi-pro grade with it's available functions. Dynax 5 is newer though and the body is more compact.

    Mirror lock-up for Dynax 7?

I'm assuming the Dynax 7 works the same way as Dynax 9... With the 2 secs mirror lock-up, when u press the button to take a shot (regardless of shutter speed), the mirror will flap up first and after 2 secs, the shutter door will open and exposure the frame according to the metered reading.

Been shooting it for the past 3 years at K2 hilly slopes. Requires 400-600mm focal length to get something reasonable. Me used slides exclusively and on sunny weather at Sepang, using Velvia to pan shots gives great punch in color.

    New Minolta AF 28 -70 f2.8 G focus problem!!

28-70/f2.8 G IS a slow focusing lens. In comparison, the D9 body focuses faster than say a 700si with the same lens but still slower than using 70-210/f4. It's unusual that it does not lock focus properly with your D7, so best to check it out. Perhaps it has locked focus on a defined focus...
