Just got lx5 and able to connect to iphoto. Check pref>general>connecting camera opens>iphoto (not image capture)

Buy latest panasonic g10, $850 at cathay. Got flash, faster focus than olympus, Many override buttons, good for learning photography. Much bigger sensor than lx3/lx5.

Reject OEM? I will not buy any cam that reject OEM. it is a step backward. In future handphone charger is going towards usb jack, one charger can be use for all brand!

Yes, agree to the above contributor, when it is not a backlight problem (it was silly of me to assume it is having a backlight problem):sweat: May i add that, when u select a fast shutter and if the camera think it will be under exposed, aperture+shutter on screen will turn RED. (on my FX5)

U r given a choice to change only shutter speed, but exposure is auto. That means if u r shooting a object wif strong backlight, no matter how u change shutter speed, the outcome remains underexposed. To correct, u can use 1. exposure compensation feature (may slow u down by pressing...

i disagree, i've used eastgear batt, for less than $30, yet higher capacity, longer lasting. i've used on my fx5 for 3 yrs, using it together wif the oringinal, taken about 20k pictures.
