Just got my set from Cathay Photo at 999 today. Looks like Sony are controlling their prices. First big investment for me in cameras. Hopefully this is a good buy.

Looks like I was quite spot on regarding the price and the release dates here. I am considering this camera and Lumix G3. Just wondering if it would be a fair comparison between this camera and the Lumix G3.

if G1X costs more than SG$1000, that is a big price jump as compared to G12. Hopefully it will come out soon. Perhaps it might arrive just in time for the March IT show.

seldom see them(Panasonic) go all out in all these IT shows to give very good deals. Canon, Nikon and Sony(only recently) are more into giving out good deals in IT shows.
