I had the same issue with the 35/1.4 lens on my D7000. Spot on on center focus point but inaccurate on both extremes left/right focus point. Nope, this is the plastic one. Exact copy of Nikon's lens hood. I have both and they are exactly the same.... except it does not say "Nikon, Made in China"

You can go to Alan Photo or any other photo store in Funan or Sim Lim. They do not carry the original Nikon Lens hood, but they have the 3rd party lens hood. Similar size and quality. I just bought one last week.

I always buy my B+W filters from robertwhite in UK. His price for B+W MRC E39 skylight is about GBP 19 plus shipping of GBP 11-15 (depending on how many filters). If you buy more than 1 filters, it's cheaper doing it that route.
