My experience has been: If you're shooting JPEG, up to ISO 200 you're still ok. The watercolour effect kicks in when you start shooting at ISO 400. If you're shooting in RAW, then it doesn't really matter. Oh, and the difference in JPEG ISO200 and JPEG ISO400 is like night and day. :D...

Hi Onyx. If the GX100 is anything like the GR-D, then the noise/grain is designed to look similar to film grain (which to me is pleasing and helps give images that film-like quality that i miss). The LX-2 noise looks exactly like . . . noise. ;) And the occasional dappled watercolour effect...
