Didn't notice any magenta cast & i do agree with you with regards to NEX's pale RAW output. Compared some pics on the NEX with Fuji once and the latter's output seemed abit more vibrant. Very subtle but noticable. Nice shots taken with the 8mm btw. Images are rather sharp as well.
