get the china agency to help u book the air ticket....or u can find one from chengdu....

u only have 7 days.....just concentrate on northern Laos....spend your time slowly in LP visiting the "wat" ...if u like river " sports" ...spend more time in vang vieng...can river tube down to vietianne from vang vieng if u wanna.....can even go for tube hopping to different "pub" along vang...

I got the book but did not bother to download the "free" chapters... if its really free...I can just go to any bookshop and copy down the "code" ...dun even need to buy the book to get those "free" chapters..thats why I figure its not really free lor...

I got a sigma 18-200....and its always on my cam now....nvr took it down....unless u r those pixel peeper....or else u wun know how "soft" your pic is at the far end....

any time for tamron 90mm.....my all time fav as long as its within the 520-540 range...can buy liao lah......the jap YEN will flut...so the street price also changes too...dun dwell too much into 10s of dollars , more impt is quickly get it...and take great pic...
